The ambience is beautiful, guacamole delicious but over priced, the tacos are also great, so are the yucatan fries. Overall good experience but it's not authentic Mexican food. Good flavors, but very Amierican: a simple lunch for two is likely to run you about 50 bucks. Oh and the freshly squeezed lemonade is wayyyy too acidic, make sure to ask for extra sweetener. I'll return though...

The beer selection is awesome. The bar mixes are awesome. The food is a bit artsy for Mexican but very good. The kids menu is great. Lots of choices for them. The adult menu is very good. The spices are just the right amount in most cases. The services is pretty good, apps came out quick and hot, the dinner was good.

I have been here for happy hour several times and enjoyed nachos and bar food. Those visits were great. However upon a sit down dinner there were a few problems. Received nachos great I recommend them highly. Table got 2 enchiladas and fried chicken tacos. Tacos were great. However the enchiladas were sort a blobby cheesy mess. Veggie one really had no flavor no salt no real seasoning of any kind. White chicken enchilada with potatoes was sort of the same no seasoning as well as way over cooked. This is the second sit down dinner that was not up to par here. I think I'll stick to bar food and simple plates.

Our first time here. Great shared appetizer meal this Sunday afternoon. The chicken quesadilla was not our favorite (ground chicken) but everything else was really yummy. Crab cakes were awesome along with a great refreshing slaw type side. The Guacamole was fresh and clean tasting and of course the Margurita's were #1. Coffee was okay and my cappuccino was creamy and tasty. Service was quick & friendly. We really enjoyed the atmosphere...bright, trendy and enjoyable. Would definitely come back anytime.

I was there just once and never go there again! I ordered "Carne Asada" which was fine, but it was not worth for the price. My wife ordered "Enchilada Verde" which was awful: the potato, cheese and sauce were fine, but the chicken was terrible, smelled like feet and tasted even worse! She could not even swallow just one morsel. It was a terrible experience for us and we will never try this place again.

I found this restaurant to be absolutely fabulous...It was clean, inviting, the hostess seated us right away. The restaurant was busy yet our server was extremely attentive. The food was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite part is that they make the guacamole to order so I can no include onions. Then, to make a great experience better, they came out with 2 flutes of champagne and Tres Leche's cake and avocado ice cream, which was to die for. I've already gone back for takeout orders of their guacamole. Note; if there is anything you don't understand, just ask. The waitress was very helpful with that.

I'm Stanley R. and welcome to... Time To Talk about Tacos!!! Let's start with me! Just today I dined at Torre for the first time. As a Torre noob, I was totally fascinated by the revolving door entrance. I have a pretty hard time with those :/ ;P because as I child I got my head stuck in one! And oh yeah, it hurt. But this door was more than big enough for comfort and a fun little ride into an even more fun restaurant ;) Such delicious decor in this place. There were cool skulls lining the wall, presumably for the more gothic younger crew. I'm an old timer but I loved 'em too! And there's a room full of kegs! I wish I could just lock myself into that room and hang out there for life ;P I was dining with a good bud of mine named Chris for his birthday today (happy bday bro, if youre reading this!), and what a great time we had! After perusing the drink menu for a few minutes (and the lovely waitresses lol!) neither of us could decide because there were so many mouthwatering choices! We both got sangria (we are comfortable with our masculinity) and a founders IPA! Both so great that we sucked 'em right down and got a little lunchtime tipsy :P I ordered the crispy chicken tacos and all I can say is... WOW THESE ARE REALLY GOOD! Yummy mango pico de gallo and guacamole inside... if you don't love these, your soul is probably dead! My buddy Chris got the brisket tacos and holy cow were they good. I snuck a bite when he was in the bathroom (sry Chris!). In summary, ya definitely do not want to miss out on this new gem. I wish I could wake up and relive this day.

Right in the middle. I loved the queso chorizo fundido. I could have eaten much more of this than I should have. Next time I visit I will only get this. Also tried the chicken mole tacos which were just not good. The chicken was very bland and the tortilla (not tortillas as is traditional to eliminate this) mushy. Tortilla soup was also bland. Restaurant atmosphere was quite nice and I appreciated the decor. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. Will be back for the queso and to try other things. Maybe it was just an off day.

Balancing out earlier 4 star review. Ordered the tuna tacos and was served putrid fish. Yes, rotten fish. Sent it back and while manager was apologetic, did nothing to offset my reorder. Too bad, as I really liked this place. Won't ever go back.

The food was more of a variation on Mexican food than standard fare. Perhaps an acquired taste The drinks were great. They certainly don't skimp on the alcohol. All-in-all a different experience. I'd call it more of a 'hipster' scene than anything else.

Just left this place. Highly disappointed due to being scammed for a $10 Racer 5 IPA. Sadly, I'm a beer connoisseur, and this good (but not great) beer was sold to me for $10 AT HAPPY HOUR!! I will never revisit this place. In total, during happy hour, 2 people, 4 beers, one order of guacamole (which wasn't bad, about 2 cups of quac and a million heavily salted chips) , $50 with tip. I could've went to wegmans and got better food and beer for $20. Again, highly disappointed.

My workplace is near the Promenade Shops, so a couple co-workers and I stopped in for lunch on a Friday. We were seated right away, service wasn't slow, wasn't fast, decor is BEAUTIFUL--they really did well in that area. Onto the food: I ordered the deep fried fish tacos (I forget the name) with a side of yuca fries. The food is on the pricier side, but I thought my food was quite good. The tacos weren't doubled up on corn tortillas, so eating the last taco was a bit messy. Yuca fries were fresh, hot, super crispy (which I love), and a good texture inside. It was a bit on the salty side though, because they really doused it in the seasoning, but nothing a few little scrapes with the finger couldn't fix. Overall it was enjoyable. Pricey for Mexican food, so I won't come here as frequently, but I wouldn't hesitate to go again and try other items on the menu.

Being from Texas, I have extremely high standards for any place serving Tex-Mex or Mexican food. That being said, their drinks were good and the guac was really delicious (albeit way overpriced). The rest of the meal was nothing special. I ordered the Vera Cruz tacos and they were pretty bland. Overall, the price of the meal wasn't worth it. Would I come back for drinks and appetizers during happy hour? Definitely! But would I come back for an meal? Not likely.

Ok the food is good to great, however there is no excuse for an upscale Mexican Restaurant charging $3.00 fir chips and salsa. In addition, my partners chicken quesadilla was burned black.

Three stars due to price. Food and drinks are great but the price? not so great. I know this area is in the north east but being somewhere in Pennsylvania, to me, it's over priced. Their price is what I expect dining at a NY restaurant but not in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, especially during brunch. Too expensive for a brunch.

  • Candi K.

Paxos does it right once again! Despite being open only a few weeks, I had a brunch experience here that rivals their established restaurants. When we arrived at 12:45 for our reservation, we took the last open table downstairs. We had water before I knew it and the service was spot on all afternoon. Menu questions were easily answered and I got hungrier watching other folks' plates go past me. I ordered the blood orange mimosa with the huevos rancheros. The cocktail was delicious & refreshing - the huevos rancheros were the best I've had in the Valley, hands down. The avocado was particularly fresh & delicious. The portion was bigger than I could handle, so I had a great dinner that night as well. I pushed my husband to dessert - the churros were piping hot and the chocolate sauce worked well with the slight chili influence to the sugar. The restaurant is gorgeous and very comfortable. Can't wait to go back for some guac and margs after work!

This was my first time at Torre. I was on a first date with someone and they were never there either. It was super fun though. We had gotten a table, thanks to my date's preplanning to make a reservation otherwise there was an hour wait. We had Jared as our waiter. Jared had a great fun personality and totally rolled with my date and my humorous personalities. He was extremely attentive. My first drink i got the red sangria, as recommended by my friend. I didn't care for it and my date told Jared who immendiately offered me a replacement with a different drink and gave me recommendations. We only had drinks but the overall experience was awesome. I would defintely go back just for how acoomdating and friendly everyone was. It was a nice date spot as well.

I went this restaurant tonight . And it is first time for me. It looks very fancy place to me and it was very noisy . But my main dish Chicken Fajita was very nice . People of this restaurant was very friendly and nice for us. So if you are not too old I can recommend this restaurant to you. Arigatou.... : )

Pretty good food and friendly service. Pricier than it needs to be, but then again, Promenade. Impressed with the drinks, really fresh and not syrupy at all. Enjoyed the food, especially the side of grilled corn. Not a bad place for a snack and a bevvie if you're feeling flush

Glad the Lehigh Valley has picked up its game and put in a variety of restaurants recently. You have to go and try the guacamole for sure. I'm a fan of the classic, while my friend really enjoyed the fruit guac they have. And, the margaritas are great! Good happy hour special that would have me coming again. The main dishes were decent options as well - pretty standard, and I got what I expected out of my fish dish. Waitress took the time to ask us if everything was ok. The ambiance is pretty relaxed too, a little cold but nothing unbearable. All in all, happy to have this place around.

Perfect addition to the Promenade shops! Love the decor, service is so friendly! We were there for the pre-opening and was able to sample the menu. We shared the nachos with pulled pork which was really good and could be a meal in itself! I've never liked guacamole but I'm a fan of theirs! I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly for me and my husband has the quesadillas which was beautifully presented and he said was also delicious! We were too stuffed to try dessert but the menu looked super. We're going back on Friday! This will definitely be a regular spot for us. Oh! And the margarita is wonderful!

  • Barb R.

The first time we went here I was really impressed by the food and atmosphere. The atmosphere is still wonderful, but the food wasn't. I had the salmon dish and it was barely ok. The portion was small, salty and the accompaniments were nothing to speak of. I will probably return, but not in the near future and I won't have the salmon for sure...

I feel bad giving two stars to a restaurant that obviously put a lot of effort into its food and atmosphere, but for the prices that they charge, I can't recommend it. Torre bills itself as "modern Mexican cuisine", which I can't disagree with. As far as the food is concerned, the "modern" element is that they prefer the acidic/citrus flavors over the usual savory/spicy. After you order drinks, they serve complimentary pickled vegetables. You should use this as a gauge of what's to come, as this flavor is present in every menu item, even when it doesn't make sense. The onus is on you to pick the menu items where it actually works. There is a jalapeno margarita on the menu that pairs perfectly for this ubiquitous flavor. I would say that it's a no-brainer, but each glass costs 11 (eleven!) dollars. Sangria is usually a safe fallback for a Mexican restaurant, and if made correctly, a cheap way to get your fill of booze. However, it is not cheap ($8 a glass, no pitchers), nor potent (you will think you're drinking Kool Aid). We had the shrimp ceviche to start, which obviously worked with the acidic flavor that I can't repeat enough in this review. Ceviche is usually served with only a light coating of citrus; however this had all the goodies swimming in it. Overall, it was tasty, even if it felt like you were bobbing for apples. For entrees, I had the brisket tosadas that were on special and my wife had the shrimp tacos. The brisket had a disappointing lack of char, but it was moist, excessively moist, it was a deluge. I couldn't tell if the moisture was from retained beef juice, or the vinegary concoction, but the liquids turned it into mush and the result was a flavorless mess. There were also re-fried beans and cheese which should have contributed something, but there were equally flavorless. I think a little bit of salt would have gone a long way for this dish. The shrimp tacos were better suited for the acidic flavor. They definitely tasted better for this reason alone, but they were still soggy from the excessive juices. As far as I can tell, any "shell based" food on this menu will be a complete mess. I would not order these if you're on a date, as there is no civilized way of eating these. You could opt for the entrees that are sans-shell, but they're twice as expensive. You can't win. All of these complaints aside, the food is mostly tasty. The ingredients are fresh and the recipes are original even if they're mis-executed. I would be more forgiving if the price was on-par with the quality. Each item on the menu is a few dollars more than it should have been, and when this is applied to every single item, the total becomes excessive. At these prices, you should be getting the best Mexican food of your life, but as it currently stands, you get a soggy mess in a chic atmosphere.

Delicious tacos and guac, beautiful variety of drinks and the venue? So cool! Take a seat inside by the open wall/window for an outside experience without the overwhelming heat. Staff was great and prompt, prices were ok, dessert was a little bland (Tres Leches cake was a little dry, oddly enough, but the Avacado ice cream was AMAZING). We'll be back, no doubt!

Great night, great restaurant. I absolutely loved this place. The staff is excellent, service excellent with a very lively atmosphere. Our food was delicious and diverse. We sampled the tequila flights and they were a great pairing with the spicy salsa and guacamole! Next on to the entrees, we all sampled each others dishes from crab cakes to Mahi Mahi, Salmon and pulled pork tacos and they were all phenomenal ! The only drawback to the whole evening was parking. On a Saturday it is a challenge. I learned they do offer valet parking available in front of Melt Restaurant so if we return again on a weekend, I will be sure to utilize this service. This place is a must for a new great taste sensation!

I've been excited about Torre since I heard about it a while ago, and I'm glad I got a chance to go. It's crazy new, so I expected some kinks. But man, it was clear they weren't ready for a Friday night at the Promenade. It was packed, and there was barely room to maneuver at the bar. Service was friendly - but slow. The managers were either running around like crazy, or yelling at the poor bartenders (barely) trying to keep up with orders. The ambiance is great - it's clear they put a lot of thought into the decor. The tequila tower is disappointing, though, I won't lie. One thing: Ladies, there are hooks at the bar for your purse, but they're spread crazy far apart. Really the only negative for me was the price for portion. The house margs were small, lots of ice, and not lots of tequila. Still, tasty. The food wasn't bad, but $12 for 3 of the smallest tacos I've ever seen? Ehhhhh. I'm looking forward to going back in the future, after things have settled and the kinks have (hopefully) worked themselves out.

This is a new addition to the Promenade Shops and I think it's a great one. The ambiance is very nice and festive with beautiful Mexican folk art pottery everywhere - VERY cool. I got my standard litmus test - enchiladas. They were quite good, but included a bit of a surprise - potatoes - which I could have done without. Really no other complaints though. Good service. Tasty food. I will be back!

Atmosphere was good. Food was overly spicy without the menu telling you that the dish was spicy. Salsa and guacamole were very good. Apps better than dinner. They will fry things instead of cooking them and seasoning them.

I've have had the pleasure of two lunches and one dinner at Torre. The drinks are excellent. I've found myself trying other than my usual and have not been disappointed. The food has been excellent as well. My wife and I have tried something different on each occasion and have been very pleased with every selection. The staff is wonderful. The servers are always very polite and knowledgeable. Management could not be more accommodating. Tim and Jake take into account any special request and always deliver with a smile. We will be sure to visit again and again.

Great service! Great food! Bar centerpiece is a work of art in itself. Flat Iron Pork special was wonderful. Kids menu was great. Drink selection was solid. They could dim the dining room lights a bit but if that's the only complaint, that's pretty good. Can't wait til it gets warm and they open the windows!!! We will be back...

It's been a number of years since I've been out to the Lehigh Valley and all I can say is wow, I wish this place existed when I still lived out here. I went on a Sat. night and thankfully we had made a reservation because the place was packed. It soon became apparent why. We started with the nachos and some sort of dry-rubbed wings (I'm not a wing person so no opinion there) but the nachos were dynamite. None of that microwaved stuff here. Fresh chips, beef that wasn't doused in spices to cover up inferior quality, and some incredible guac. I had the enchilada verde with the yucca fries. Again, incredible presentation, fresh ingredients, and by the end I was stuffed. On the topic of the fries, I've had yucca fries maybe once or twice over the years and neither were anywhere near as good as these: crispy, respectfully seasoned, fresh, and oh yes, not dripping with oil. Finally for desert someone ordered a tart that came with a side of avocado ice cream. Add that to the list of things titled, "Tastes Way Better Than It Sounds." Don't ask me how. (I think they have a wizard working in the kitchen.) Beer selection was very robust, which if you're like me and hate tequila is a blessing. As for the place itself: very clean, very modern, very new. (What else can I say, I'm here to eat :) )There are skulls on the walls, which are neat. Wait staff was very patient and very helpful. If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely return.

Torre is an outstanding, trendy Mexican restaurant with a great drink menu. We went there on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy. Fortunately we had reservations and got seated right away. The Guacamole Fuego was spicy and flavorful and the tortilla chips were warm and fresh. The beer and cocktail selection was robust enough that we had trouble deciding what to get. The Shirmp tacos were light and fruity with great flavor. The Fish tacos with slaw were outstanding. The sauces complimented the protein and vegetables well. The portion sizes were 3, 4" tacos, which seems small but is actually quite filling after we had the guacamole. We did order a side of beans and a side of potatoes. The sides were probably more than we needed. The staff was polite, attentive and accommodating. The only thing of the entire visit that I didn't like was the potato side dish which was essentially overcooked home fries. Other than that, Overwhelmingly an outstanding experience, which i look forward to repeating!

*******after submitting this review, we heard back from the company that owns Torre and they apologized for my experience. Though my visit wasn't that great the first time, I'll try again based on the customer service I have received from them since******** ONLY HAD DRINKS. This review is for drinks only. The atmosphere was fun, but that is the only positive. The waitstaff acted as if we were an annoyance at the high top table by the bar. We decided to move to the bar where the service got worse. The bartenders seemed clueless. Answering our question about tequila with the exact same answer given to a man next to us who asked about a mixed drink. He had such a too cool for anyone attitude, that alone made us leave! The drinks contained very little alcohol. Such a disappointment:(

I couldn't be more happy with my visit here. Being a waitress myself, I tend to be very skeptical of the service when I go out to eat. But I truly was so impressed with our waitress. She was so kind and helped us get through the menu easily, which we needed considering it is a little unorthodox. Not only was the service great but the food was absolutely amazing! We got nachos to start, and then tacos, enchiladas, Spanish rice and Mexican fries. Everything was incredible. The atmosphere inside is also so beautiful and modern. I am not 21 but the bar was so crazy busy and is absolutely beautiful. A lot of my friends who are of age have been going there all the time and absolutely love it. All around I was so happy with my visit here and can't wait to go back!

The decor is beautiful in this place. Not sure why there are many bad reviews. The food was very good. We shared the Black Bean Fried Ravioli's..they were kind of a disappointment just wanted to taste more black bean. I had the Scallops with a watermelon Salsa which was a special it was so delicious!!! Carmelized Pineapple Margarita was also very tasty. The bar is small but the center display of tequila is an eye catcher. Great place and we can't wait to go back!!

We had heard good things about the restaurant and thought we'd check it out. We ordered drinks and my wife's sparkling wine was fłat. When we told the waitress, she rolled her eyes when we asked for a replacement. That was our first warning of what to expect We next ordered guacamole and salsa. When the dishes were delivered they were ice cold. The salsa looked like it was placed in a blender since we couldn't identify it since it was the consistency of mashed potatoes and the guacamole was little cubes of avacado and was flavorless. When our entrees arrived, my chicken mole was undercooked and my wife's shrimp had the flavor cooked out of it. The bill for two drinks each appetizers and our meal was over $100. I've had better Mexican (even in the Lehigh Valley) for less than half the price. If you're looking for good Mexican I suggest trying another location in the Valley. The one other item that was strange was the pictures of Flamenco dancers and bullfighters. Do the owners know the difference between Spain and Mexico?

My first time here and my wife and I really enjoyed it. The staff was very pleasant and always around when we needed them. The food was DELICIOUS!!! We had the classic guacamole for an appetizer and we loved it! The drinks were good also. This is an upscale restaurant so be prepared to pay more for food and drinks. We dined upstairs and it was great. You get a really nice view of the 1st floor including the bar area. The music wasn't too loud and we were still able to talk to each other with normal tone voices. I also had lunch here and the ceviche was excellent!! I will be going back here soon!

Went on a Friday (1/16/15) during happy hour (5-7 pm) for pre-movie drinks and dinner. We sat at a four-top in the bar area as this is the only place you can get Happy Hour specials. My girlfriend had the enchilada verde, and I ordered the Taquitos de cerdo and Ravioli frito from the Happy Hour menu ($6 each), plus the Beef and cheese empanadas from the daily specials menu. We also had the Habanero salsa and a 2-3 drinks each. The food was good, little different from traditional Mexican fare. Empanadas were full of meat and cheese, fried to a perfect crispiness. Everything else including the Enchiladas was a notch or two above average. Was a little disappointed that the enchilada entree doesn't come with anything and the beans and rice are a la carte. The salsa was $3 and came in a fairly small bowl. We probably could have eaten more but didn't want to pay for it. Best drink of the night was a grilled pineapple margarita (it might have been a special). Black cherry mojito and white sangria were o.k. Unlike some reviews, we didn't think the drinks were weak at all, not super strong, but average. Nice decor, service was attentive but not overbearing. This is a good place for Happy Hour, but outside of that I think it's a little too pricey for what your getting, which is just barely better than average Mexican food.

I was looking forward to trying this place after it opened and once I saw the glowing tower of alcohol through the windows, I had to make reservations. Before dining here, I went for drinks at the bar with coworkers. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was friendly. The space was extremely tight and it took a while to get drinks. Drink orders got mixed up and bills needed correction. I understand new jitters but it was super frustrating. My husband, myself and our friends decided to make reservations for dinner on a Saturday night. Our reservation was at 6:30 which we arrived promptly for. Unfortunately, a table was not available for us and we were left waiting at the front door near the hostess podium. The waiting area is extremely small and has one tiny bench which was already being occupied. It was freezing as the rotating door was constantly in movement. We waited nearly 15 min despite being told that we would be seated momentarily. We were seated upstairs which was cool however, if you thought the music was loud downstairs, it's even worse upstairs. I felt like I was shouting throughout most of our meal. Appetizers were decent but definitely over priced for the portion sizes. The food was just not that exciting and the portions were very small as well. I was blown away by how miniature the tacos were; smaller than the palm of my hand. We decided to get sides to share which were described to us as generous portions. No way!! I couldn't believe a cup of beans could be $5. Drinks were tasty but seemed to lack, what's it called? Oh alcohol. Overall, atmosphere was cool and service was friendly but we will not be running back to Torre anytime soon.

Casa toro has no worries! $12.00 for shot of cabo wabo tequila. Enchiladas and tacos are small servings at $10-12 each. The entrees are $20-25 and not huge. The flank steak and filets looked great. There was a real lack of sauce on many of the dishes. Apps were awful, really dry and small servings. Had a pitcher of casa margarita and was good, but weak. I would go for atmosphere, loved the tower (torre). Although, would also be better if they turned the lights down a little.

Loved the atmosphere. The venue was formerly Pacifico. Paxos Group completely gutted the inside out and remodeled it to give Torre it's own identity. The inside was a 70's style retro Mexican feel with wood paneling in portions of the restaurant and chunky retro furniture. Colorful and flowery Mexican calacas adorned the walls and all the literature. Coat check service was offered. Service was prompt and genuine. Manager even came over to ask how everything was. Our server was very friendly but at times everything felt a little fast paced. Guacamole was really good but I still prefer the guacamole from Pacifico as they made it fresh in front of you in a molcajete. None the less it was delicious! The Sopa Tortilla was fabulous -- loaded with thick pieces of shredded juicy chicken. For my dinner I ordered the Verde enchiladas. They were so/so and I was indifferent towards them. Disappointed because there were not enough entree options -- only about five or maybe six. The rest of the menu was appetizers, guacamole/salsas, and tacos/enchiladas. Would have liked to see more entrees. The other down side is the seating arrangement. The entire dining room faces the revolving door so we kept getting bursts of arctic freeze chills in the air every time someone decided to enter or leave the restaurant. Overall a good experience.

We had the best service you could ever expect from a restaurant. We started out at the bar and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and helpful walking us through the menu and suggesting items we may like. What knowledgable and well trained staff that were very personable. So after our great start at the bar we were taken over to our table by a super friendly hostess staff where we were greeted promptly by our server. Once again what a knowledgable staff whom genuinely seem happy to work for this restaurant. Now we can be a bit difficult as we have a few allergies. Once again absolutely blown away by their service and ability to accommodate guests wants and needs. The manager (I believe his name was Tim) walked us through the menu describing what were good options and even took the time the check with the kitchen with concerns we may have and they were very busy. WOW!!!! You just don't get service like this anymore, not anywhere. On to the food. Food was good to great. I personally would like a bit more spice but we seemed to really enjoy our food. I had the calamari to start, absolutely amazing. Than I followed it up with a carne asada suggested by both the manager and our waitress. Both incredibly dishes. My husband had enchilada verde, again we were looking for that spice but it was still pretty good. Can't wait to come back here and feel like we are royalty which they seem to do to every single patron that walks into that restaurant as this was just our first time. Kudos to this restaurant and the amazing staff they employee.

Another awesome dining experience at Torre! I began the meal with the dulce y picante cocktail which was like nothing I've ever had before. Truly matches the description as a sweet and spicy drink. I could really taste the jalapeño but still had just enough spice so it wasn't too hot. Then I had the black bean and bacon soup which was incredible! Smoky and warm, and was perfect on a chilly night. For an entree I had the enmoladas de cerdo. Pork inside corn tortillas with mole sauce. Again, totally unique yet awesome flavor! Pork is perfectly cooked and the mole sauce is out of this world. Seasoned just right. I also tried my girlfriend's enchilada verde which blew my mind! So much good flavor, I can't wait to have this dish next time all for myself. My only regret is not being hungry enough for dessert, because I've tried their desserts before and they've all been great. Another fantastic experience at Torre. I'm really impressed by the creativity in the menu and the consistent quality of everything I've tried here. Can't wait to go again!

My girlfriend and I went to Torre in early December and had a wonderful time! We each started with the blood orange margaritas and they were amazing. Excellent balance, and for someone who doesn't drink margaritas, I was really impressed. Our server, Jill, recommended the crab guacamole which came with bottomless tortilla chips. The guac was great and wasn't too fishy as crab dips can become. I had the salmon which was done to perfection with a delightfully crunch crust. My girlfriend had the carne asada and she loved it. It is a beautiful restaurant with friendly service and great food. The food is high quality but jeans and a t-shirt are perfectly acceptable attire. Very casual. I strongly recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a good time and a full stomach!

Wow! We were not sure what to expect but the atmosphere was what brought us in the door...and we were so glad it did! We loved everything! This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The tequila tower was amazing, the decor was very nicely done, the food was excellent and the kids menus were fun too. We tried the house margarita which had just the right blend of sweet & sour. The house tortilla chips (so fresh & homemade - I wanted to order some to bring home!) & guacamole were the perfect beginning, light enough to not fill you up before the meal but plenty to eat if you came in starving. My husband had the Carne Asada - strip steak that melted in your mouth like butter. I had the Coconut Shrimp on a bed of salsa. The shrimp were a good size, nice and crispy and the mango salsa was so fresh. We were too full for dessert but shared the tres leches cake with avocado ice cream, OMG - delicious! Worth the trip and we will be sure to go back.

My husband and I absolutely love this place. Upscale Mexican food and its amazing. Everything is ala carte but the pieces are fair. We eat here often and keep coming back for more. Highly recommend.

We decided to try this new restaurant on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving with a party of 7. In summary, the food was a step above average, yet has some weak points, and the dining room has some work needed. The service was above average, but far from perfect. Prices reasonable. 1. Food. Skirt steak excellent. Pollo Mole ok. Guacamole was unique, yet under seasoned (more salt was requested but required a wait until waitress brought some over). Tacos were too expensive. Mahi Mahi was good but needed more suace. 2. Drinks. Sangria was a bust - weak and uninteresting. Rest of the party had soft drinks. 3. Decor. Well decorated, however the restaurant is only 2 weeks old and already has lights with the bulbs blown. A bit tacky for a restaurant in this price range. Worse part was my seat had a light shining directly in my eyes. See photo. Summary - will try again after has a chance to burn in a bit.

My Boyfriend and I recently dined at Torre for the first time since we moved back to Pennsylvania from Arizona. Being in Arizona, we had a lot of Mexican food and I can truly say Torre definitely compared! It was a beautiful day when we went and we got to sit next to the open window area, which was perfect! We ordered the Guacamole and Queso fundido. My boyfriend loved the Queso fundido and the Guacamole was DELICIOUS! At first when we ordered, I thought that the Guacamole was slightly overpriced, but after seeing how fresh it was and how much we had, I do believe that it was fairly justified. We had a wonderful server who was constantly refilling our drinks. We unfortunately, did not have an alcoholic beverages, however, I have heard that the Blood Orange and House Margaritas are WONDERFUL! Figuring I would load up on Guac, I got the Vera Cruz tacos and they were FANTASTIC! They were flavorful and delicious! My boyfriend got the Enchildas Verde and he loved them! He thought they were rich in flavor and extremely tasty! His only complaint was that there was a very heavy lime taste in the dish, but other than that he truly enjoyed it. My only complaint, and it shouldn't even be called a complaint, is that we went for a late lunch when it was not very crowded and it did take a little bit to get our food. While we were not in a rush, it made for a rather lengthy lunch. We did not get any dessert, although the table next to us did, and it looked so so wonderful. We will definitely be returning to Torre! Sure, it was a little on the pricier side, but hey, if you look at the menu and you don't like what you see, don't dine there. I will never understand why people complain or give bad reviews because of the price. You pay for what you eat. If you want to pay less, go to McDonalds or a place with lower quality food. Our food was very fresh and top notch! Thank you Torre for a delicious lunch! We can't wait to return!

Great new Mexican Restaurant at the Promenade Shops Center Valley. Food was excellent, drinks excellent, atmosphere is great and a 3 floor tequila tower, you can't go wrong!!! Plus they have Cholula Original and new Green Pepper Sauce!!! Service staff well trained and attentive.

Great Special Lunch! Had a delightful lunch today. The tres ceviche was delicious. I also had the Jeronimo pulled pork sandwich, which I highly recommend. My wife tried the Vera Cruz taco: three small shrimp tacos. She enjoyed them totally. We capped it off with a mango ice cream. We'll be back.

There are only a few Mexican-style restaurants suitable for "date night" in the Lehigh Valley but here you can enjoy excellent fresh healthy food in a convivial manner. The chips and salsa were surprisingly fresh and tasty to start the meal and though the choices of main courses were somewhat scanty there was a plethora of small dishes that added variety. Missing are some standards but the creativity and excellence of the offerings more than make up for it. They have a variety of ceviches which were outstanding. The soft tortilla flour tacos were very good with a lot of varieties. Our table had brisket of beef and pulled pork both were really tasty and good. The surprise winner of the night was the yuca frites which were perfect. I won't describe them any further because my talents at description pale I the face of their perfection. In addition, the service was good and the prices reasonable. There was a lot of variety of tequilas and I had a delicious sangria. Will be returning soon.

We came here for my birthday dinner tonight. I ordered a margarita, it was very good. My husband saw a server carrying a plate past us and asked someone what it was and he told us it was the nachos. We decided to order them and my husband also ordered the enchiladas verde and I ordered the Veracruz tacos. The nachos were good, nothing special. The tacos were delicious, light and flavorful. The enchiladas-yuck! Way way way too much sauce and super spicy. The service was good, maybe a bit slow but they were pretty busy. Managers seemed attentive and were constantly moving, although it would have been nice to see them stop by more tables and check in with the diners. My biggest issue was the noise. The music seemed oddly loud for a restaurant, it would have been more appropriate in a bar setting than in a restaurant. And I do have to agree with the other reviewers that it is overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. Otherwise, I would probably try them again.

One of the best meals I have ever had period. First we started with the blood orange margarita. Now I consider myself a margarita master...but my god, this was the best tasting margarita I have ever had. The mixture of top level fresh ingredients and top level liquor was phenomenal. Following the delicious margarita we moved on to the nachos. Soooo much flavor!! Soo many toppings!! Hands down top five nachos I have ever had. After the nachos we moved on to the entrée. I had chosen the Pork enchilada, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I thought after the nachos and margarita (and the second margarita :) ) it couldn't get better...but somehow it did. I don't think any part of that enchilada survived. It was so fresh and the flavors were so vivid. My wife had the skirt steak and there was nothing even left to share! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. On top of the delicious fresh food and drinks, the service and atmosphere were amazing. I will definitely be coming back to Torre again and again.

Food and drinks at best were okay. Way overpriced for quality or even quantity. We ordered margaritas $11 each. $9.50 is the cheapest on the menu. Seating sucks, you can sit and without trying listen to the entire conversation the table next to you is having.

We stepped in on a Friday night around 6 w/o a call ahead or anything. We'd take whatever we could get as far as seating. (I had read some reviews recapping poor service. I was prepared to back out if the host wasn't moderately attentive... but I found the hostess to be very accommodating.) We were given spots at a high bar table, and with the courtesy to keep each party separated by one empty seat. That was really comfortable for me, and I was impressed the staff would grant patrons more comfort instead of striving to fill every seat. Our server was great. The caramelized pineapple margarita was excellent, we were told the juices are freshly squeezed, not from a mix. We had the classic guacamole - it was creamy and fresh. We shared the enchiladas verde and Monterey taco. The beef in the taco was extraordinary. Wasn't inexpensive but you get what you pay for and I felt it was worth it. Will return.

Terrible food, overpriced, bad service. Drinks are $12 and a little container of guac is $10. There were five servers standing around doing nothing while out glasses sat empty. It took 40 minutes while the restaurant was empty just to receive tostadas. When they came, they were cold and it was clear they had been sitting there. To add into it, they were disgusting and actually made me sick. Because my friend and I only took bites of them, management refunded them for us and offered for us to order something else. That was nice and all but we already felt sick and wanted nothing more. Will never be returning and would not reccommend to a friend.

My friend and I went for happy hour. Naturally we sat at the bar. Critique number one: the worst most uncomfortable bar stools ever! Big round and no back. Nowhere to put your feet. Tall or short, you r in trouble! Nowhere to put your handbag either. So there I am sliding all over the seat, trying to eat or drink and just no way to get comfortable. Then go try to reach down to get your handbag! You have to get off the stool to get it. No one's arm is that long to reach something on the floor from a bar height stool! Next. Margaritas. So we got the standard happy hour one. Ugh. So sweet. Apps. Cerviche was very good the rest was on par with Taco Bell. I will go back with my husband and try it again, but I'm not sitting at the bar!

Great food and atmosphere. I had the salmon entree and it was unbelievable. Took time to get the food, but it was a very busy Friday night. Drinks at the bar were quick and reasonably priced. Great service overall and definitely coming back soon.

Very good food been here 6 times since opening day and never dissappointed. Best steak ever! Terrific atmosphere as well! Enjoyed restaurant week menue with my husband and tried a delicious nectar brew with a chicken tinga quassadeas appetizer, quite good, and a orange cream topped brownie for dessert all inclusive in the special deal good through Thursday. You should try!

Was there on opening night. Wife and I sampled a few tequilas. Also had margaritas, habanero guacamole app, entrees, dessert, and after dinner drinks. The verdict: Meh. Nice decor and great salsa and chips. Habanero guacamole was real good, too. But beyond that, a very mediocre experience. Friendly but inattentive service (we waited 19 minutes to place our dessert order). Weak, overpriced margaritas. ($9.50 for the house pour in an 8oz glass literally packed with ice; tequila was MIA). Entrees lacked the robust flavor you expect from Mexican dishes, and their idea of hot sauces include Tabasco, Cholula and a Mex equivalent. I'll give the place another shot or two. But held up against Casa Toro in Coopersburg, Torre's food and drinks can't compete, as of now. My three stars is VERY generous.

Sooooooo good!!! I love the atmosphere & everything I ordered. I started with apps.. my fav was the veggie guacamole and for dinner I had the pulled pork tacos. Elegante margaritas on the rocks were perfect size. And dessert was AMAZING. I was with a large party so was able to sample 1 of each...I cant even pick a favorite. Hot chocolate was too die for. I cant wait to come back!

Let me start off by saying the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the excellent waitress, whose name I can't remember. When we first arrived, we stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes with 4 people refusing to make eye contact with us. More people walked in behind us and I truly felt as if I was intruding on their space by being there. I was tempyed to walk out because I felt so awkward. Here I am, waiting to give you money and I can't even get a "hello" from one person? There were two men in suits and two young girls standing there and finally, the older guy in the suit looked up and asked if thr high top community table was ok. When I asked how long the wait was for a regular table, he said "um I don't know, three hours?" and the hostess showed us to the community table. We started off with the fruta guacamole ($11), which was pretty good but I found it lacked a balance. Very sweet, but not enough red onion or cilantro to counteract the sweetness. Anyway, it was pretty good. I just doubt I'd order it again. I ordered the fish tacos, which were very good. I liked how they used blue corn tortilla chips as a crust. In addition to my meal, my aunt ordered one of the chicken tacos but she said they were flavorless. When the waitress asked what she thought, she was honest and the waitress offered to bring her something else. She had chicken verde enchiladas and she said she wasn't blown away by them either, but continued to eat. I would probably come back here, probably for drinks and tapas, but I would hope to receive better service from the hostess station. They gave me a really bad first impression, unfortunately. The food was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. I prefer Mesa's guacamole in Easton and you get a much larger portion, as well. Have to mention the great waitress again. I can't remember her name, but she had dark hair and I think she was part Asian. Looking forward to giving Torre another shot once they get the kinks worked out.

Had a birthday dinner for my dad here this week and was relatively pleased! We had a party of 5 and were stuck in a booth (with a reservation) so I wasn't too happy about that but we made it work. Our party shared the house guac and salsa and loved it. We all had fish and were pretty pleased with our dishes. Server was knowledgable and attentive, and made our experience a positive one. Downside is the menu is a bit pricy and it's pretty much all ala carte. Would recommend and go again!

They took their chance to impress and won us over!!! We made reservations on the opening weekend for an anniversary lunch. We were given a special booth, met by our waitress Katie with champagne and everything just got better from there!!! The food was amazing, the service fantastic, the atmosphere new and exciting. Just what the Promenade Shops needed to finish off dining choices. We will be back often!! All super fresh ingredients. Modern menu. The tuna tacos are fabulous!!!! A must!!!

Beautiful, modern Mexican restaurant. Very upscale and gourmet. This isn't your typical Mexican joint. I had the stuffed, roasted jalapenos....spicy and delicious. My husband had the shrimp, avocado ceviche, tasty. I had enchiladas and yucca fries My husband had the chicken mole. He said it was the best chicken he ever ate, moist and buttery. We had the tres leches cake for dessert.....so good and enough to share. If you like hot chocolate....this is the bomb! Nice to see a trendy ethnic restaurant in the Lehigh Valley.

I was not impressed. The food and drink were mediocre. Seating was awkward, due to being placed by server station that was crowded with staff. Torre will most likely not last.

Great set up for summer (open and airy). Probably it's best feature. Savory tacos, especially the shrimp taco. My husband liked the pulled pork taco as well. Carne asada brunch was disappointing in size (meat portion was tiny!), although the carne asada itself was delicious. A little too charred for my taste even though I ordered medium rare. Arroz espanol (spanish rice) was unusual, but ok. Overall, it's a nice place to have a pleasant lunch and the food is ok.

Party of four. We found the service to be excellent, and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Two had Fajitas, one had steak, and I had the Pollo Mole. Pollo Mole sauce was well done. Tasty, but not overpowering. Chicken was cooked perfectly, a bit crispy on the outside but tender and moist on the inside. Tried two different Guacamole, one regular, and the crabmeat one. Both were very good. Two negatives: the music is too loud. Difficult to converse at table. The drinks were small, and seemed weak. They are expensive for what you get. Skip the Margaritas and order beer or wine to get what you'd expect. We,all decided we would return.

  • Emrich S.

Nice beer and tequila selection. The Mole de Pollo was excellent, while the appetizers could use a little TLC. I liked the space even though I'm a little undecided about the full kitchen view, but it was fun to watch during the hopping opening Friday night. A decent value for The Promenade Shops.

  • Debs G.

Really nice place and atmosphere! But is overly price for the portions of food. Service was good, but seeing 4 managers in suits running around all night and scolding people was too much!! Also the menu had small amount of food options. The appetizers is not 1/4 of the menu like is written, because if it is based in portions and the area of guacamole and salsas "appetizer" options are 3/4 of the menu! I think Torre is a better place to have drinks and a vast variety of appetizer options!

  • Julie H.

Meh, certainly not wow. Table snack: pickled vegetables, comprising a few chunks of red pepper, a bunch of white onion pieces, and 6 cloves of garlic (!). Utterly inedible. Hot peanuts, also inedible. Guacamole: our request for a low level of onions was honored, and the guac was pretty good. However, no cilantro or lime. The portion was on the small side (but we were starved, due to slow service). Chips meh. Tacos: Meh, very lacking in taste aside from the heat. Coconut shrimp: Good, but 4 medium shrimp for $25 is steep. Tamarind mahi-mahi: quite good. Small portion, however. Enchilada: just ok. Drinks: mojito was thoroughly mediocre and tasted medicinal. Marg was good enough. Service: poor. Lots of people running around, but our service was verrrry slow and missed our cue that we wanted to order entrees right away. Our served wanted to take a drink order, deliver the drinks, take an app order, deliver the app, then take a dinner order. Important-looking men striding by in suits don't impress me when I'm hungry, thirsty and our table is empty. In sum: the prices are too steep to motivate me to return. The fajitas are $20-35?! And for $20-$30 entrees, I find it an insult to have to order sides for another $5. I really miss Pacifico's mojitos, guac, and the arancini they had.

  • Jaime C.

I thought that the ambiance was really cool, I loved the wall of skulls. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. I had the Fruta guacamole and it was awesome, but my Veracruz tacos were terrible - first off they looked like an appetizer (they were that small) and it was very spicy. We also got 2 sides: Maiz tosado, which was excellent and the Frijoles refritos which was just okay. Overall, we were disappointed and will probably not return.

  • Sara S.

Atmosphere was nice, well decorated and clean. Service was friendly when you could find them. Long waits for drink refills. Ordered the chicken tacos and black beans. Tacos were small (like tiny), but tasted ok even though they were a little cold. The half a bowl of black beans cost over $4 and they were way over cooked. Would've ordered dessert, but we had already spent 2 + hours just having lunch. I was still hungry when we left. I know they are new, but I won't rush back. They weren't busy enough for the service to be that non-existent.

  • Jason U.

So we went here for my bday... the ambience was nice the service was fantastic. The food was well...my dish was great but for a 28 dollar skirt steak you would expect more than 8 oz. Point is the portions are small for the buck and just cause your Shulas neighbor doesn't mean you have to compete with their prices. Kudos to the wait staff for explaining the menu.

Haven't ordered food yet, just sitting at the bar. The AC is blowing terribly on my wife. Granted it was a warm day but it is late November! Also music is way to LOUD!!! We mentioned the brisk flow of cold air to the bar staff and got a simple shrug. We will move to our reserved seats soon and I hope it improves. We have since been seated it is quieter and a bit warmer although it was about 20 minutes before I finally took my coat off. The food was very good but the portions were VERY small for the price. There are several managers in suits running around and as another poster said "scolding" the rather younger wait staff. It is kind of comical to watch. We have had appetizers and each of us had a meal. Even my wife is still hungry. Another appetizer. All in all what I come back? If it were solely up to me know if you were up to my wife? Yes. Take it for what it is.

Went for a drink on Friday - only 2 other people at the bar - young girls. Although there were 4 bartenders (or staff at the bar) we got totally ignored for more than 10 minutes. I guess we were not as important since we were seniors. Then when we finally did get served it was with an attitude. Wont be back - - not worth it.

GREAT MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN LEHIGH VALLEY If your experience with Mexican food is based on family owned Tex Mex establishments, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. This is an upscale restaurant with sophisticated food, highly professional management and good service. For the Lehigh Valley this is an unusual combination. The restaurant is on two levels with an upscale bar focused scene downstairs. The background noise can be a bit distracting so try and sit upstairs if you want things a bit calmer. Rather than the typical salsa and chips that is offered after you sit down, Torre offers unique plates of citrus marinated vegetables and nuts. My salad was terrific with a honey lime dressing, assorted greens, tomatoes and noodles. The Tortilla soup broth was well spiced and delicious. The carne asada (skirt steak) was cooked to perfection, seasoned appropriately and nicely sized. The fish dishes are well seasoned and not over cooked. Desserts are unique - a sugar tart with coconut ice cream. The tres leche with avocado ice cream was to die for. Sometimes, when you have a busy restaurant, the service will suffer. Torre shines here with a well-managed front of the house staff. Our server made great suggestions and was well versed on the menu. The staff pays attention and is constantly refilling water glasses. This restaurant is not inexpensive - entrees average $24, salads and soup approximately $8 but the food can rival any big City restaurant. All in all, this is one "10" and definitely should be on your Must Visit list.

People are very friendly and attentive. Food was very disappointing. My friend and I went to have lunch. I had the fish taco which was so small it left me very hungry afterwards. My friend had the Barbecue sandwich was all bread and had hardly any meat. Dessert was a big disappointment, it was only a tiny dried lime tart with a dab of ice cream . If you want to go for atmosphere, it's great! Unfortunately, my friend and I were both still hungry looking for something to eat after wards.

crab cake was excellent, but I was charged for the larger plate. Waitress was nowhere in sight, so I paid the bill for the larger plate charged. Avocado is in season and guac appetizer was also excellent.

I was quite excited to see what I hoped to be a decent restaurant open on a Sunday evening in the valley. Boy was I disappointed. Made reservations via open table for 7:30 - ended up getting there approx. an hour prior as we finished up other plans early. Friends were meeting us and arrived 1st - sadly they were greeted by what I assume was either a disgruntled host/manager who stated to them "your friend made reservations for 7:30, not 6:30" they then waited outside until our arrival. I arrived and went in to speak with what I can only describe as the worst person you want greeting your customers when your restaurant JUST opened. I said hello and let him know that I knew we were early but wanted to see if anything was avail, even at the bar. The monotone, zero eye contact response I received was your reservation is at 7:30, that's when we can seat you. I gave up at this point even given the numerous seats avail at the bar and throughout the restaurant and walked myself over to Melt for pre - dinner drinks. Now, Torre would have had our bar business but missed that opportunity. Upon prompt arrival for our 7:30 reservation we were seated directly behind the hostess stand where it was probably the coldest table in the whole restaurant. I can't even get into the details of this meal... Glasses of ice that began to melt while waiting for water service, chips and salsa delivered with entrees... I ate my slowly served, mediocre margarita and soggy tacos all while sporting my winter jacket. Please please please hire someone who has people skills to be front of the house Torre, or you will end up like Pacifico.

The food here was just ok. Most of the food was bland, brisket was very dry and the Spanish rice was awful and way overpiced. Refried beans were bland besides the hint of bacon you could taste, salt or something needed. However, the guacamole was good (we added a bit of salt) and the fish tacos were decent. My husband said if they seasoned everything as well as the breading on the fish tacos everything would taste great. Unfortunately, we don't intend on going back anytime soon, first impressions are everything. Nobody asks how the food is and nobody cared to wonder why we didn't get to go boxes and sent back well over half the food we ordered. And a side note, I feel it's very unprofessional and kind of gross when you can see a chef eating in the kitchen. More than tasting because he ate out of the bowl several times with the same spoon. And the tequila...overpriced I can get the same tequila at other restaurants for at least half the price.

First visit to Torre was NYE. Generally a night that you won't find a restaurant at their best, let alone a new restaurant. Not so at Torre! Our party started the night with Sangria and Margaritas. Both were great. We actually mentioned some of the negative reviews of each here and the server recognized that thet had seen them and corrected it. They have! We then went for apps of Empanadas, Quesadilla and Calamari. All tasted great, calamari was a little over cooked for me but still good. They also have 5 different guacamole recipes prepared fresh to order and delivered unmixed, you mix it yourself. Fun! We went for the guac with jumbo lump crab, scallions, jicama, chopped tomatillo, delicious! Next came our ceviche course! We went with the sampler of Mahi Mahi, Yellow Fin and Shrimp, all three were great! Dinner for me was the Carne Asada, grilled marinated skirt steak, salsa verde, yuca fries. Steak cooked to order perfectly well seasoned. Yuca fries were great. My wife had a enchilada. She's not a spicy food fan and found some of our dishes a little to hot for her, another in are party is a hot food fan and found them not hot enough. Let's call it balanced well. I found it all good, foods I expected hot were those not, weren't . Dessert was the Kahlúa flan. Just get it and don't complain about being full. Best I've had. Service was very good, perhaps a little fast but for NYE, they were turning the tables well with no waits. Many more layers to this restaurant as we didn't get into the amazing Tequila menu. You can spend $10 on a plate of enchiladas or $28 on a filet here or just graze on everything else on the menu. Its upscale and the pricing reflects that but fairly priced for what you get. You clearly can less expensive Mexican in the Lehigh Valley but if a fun vibe with great food and the ability to flex your budget up or down Torre should be on your list of new restaurants to try in 2015! We'll be back a few times.

Don't go if you're hungry. The service was good. Servers friendly. The portions are a joke. 3 small tacos with no sides for what they're charging was hugely disappointing. The worst part was they weren't that good either. The owner walks around like King Faruq but the fact is that this place is not what it thinks it is. The food is mostly bland and undersized. Don't fall for the hype.

I was really waiting for this place to open. My wife and I went in for our first time and walked out unsure if we would return. We really liked the energy and ambiance but the it seemed like they just tried too hard and charged too much. The food was all way too smokey and fancy but didn't really have any great taste or flavor to justify the price. The margaritas were good and that's probably all we will come back for. Speaking of smokey it's like crazy I mean I've been to BBQ places all over which weren't as smokey.

A friend and I decided to drop in for a drink on a Friday night. Being our first time here we didn't know what to expect. First impression was nice. The atmosphere was pretty upscale and impressive. We asked to be seated at the bar and we were pointed in the general direction. We walked up to the only open seats where old food still sat. We stood there until somebody promptly took the food away though they did not clean up the crumbs and spilled drinks all over the counter. Not impressed with the cleanliness, or lack of, at this point. Ordered a drink and took a few sips. I noticed the glass was sticky and had a film on it indicating it was dirty or poorly cleaned. Believe me, I am laid back and would not usually notice this kind of thing. The glass was caked with "guck" and fingerprints. It was very off-putting. Paying 7 dollars for a sub-par beer, you would at least expect a clean glass. This is the last place I would expect this type of thing. I notified our bartender and received a insincere apology. He stated it had been "cleaned in the dishwasher". I strongly encourage Torre ownership to educate their staff on proper cleaning of glassware. Dishwasher is not the way. Furthermore, I witnessed a staff member "hosing" down his eyeglasses with water all over the floor. Very clean environment.. Not. I've seen dive bars staffed with better bartenders. They also provide a cleaner environment. Don't be fooled by the upscale environment.

The food was ok. The decor is very nice. The barstools are not comfortable. You slide on the seat and not good for the vertically challenged.

Restaurant was really nice and the ambiance was exceptional. It's too bad the service and the food didn't match. It seemed as though there was a disconnect of communication between the wait staff, kitchen staff, and management. I've had better service and better food. I would go back for drinks but not worth spending the $$ on dinner.

I was excited to try this new restaurant but was disappointed. The portions are very small and way over priced! I left there hungry! The only thing really going for this place is the atmosphere. I won't go back. Casa Toro is MUCH better!

I went there for happy hour and and a bite to eat last night, unfortunately you cannot have the happy hour menu at the booths or tables. The stools in the bar area are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on in a restaurant, big, round, slippery, and without backs. My friends and I spent the evening trying to balance and stay on the stools, one friend even gave up and decided to stand. I had fish tacos which were on the regular menu, they were tasty, but the portion was very small for the price. Three tacos come in an order and each taco was just one bite full, rice and beans were each priced as a side order. I was hoping for good things from this restaurant, but I do not think I will be back.

First time here - with a reservation, but would be at least 15 minutes wait, which means last time here

Went with a group of friends - Torre is AMAZING and what we so NEEDED in the lehigh valley. Gives a whole new meaning to Mexican food - honestly amazing ( was never a huge fan of Mexican in the US before going to Torre, honestly the food is even better than local places in Mexico). Margaritas are amazing - tequila they use is straight from Mexico super strong AND tastes awesome! We started off with guacamole with fruit which was delicious. We ordered several dishes to share - my favorite was the tuna ceviche and the "mole"chicken - seriously to die for! The atmosphere was awesome - love the tequila tower. Will absolutely be back with friends and family - perfect night.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Nachos are amazing and the different guacamoles are fun and delicious. I like this place as an app and drink place, there aren't many entrees to choose from. Service was ok, I felt like our waitress wasn't too sure about certain ingredients that were in some of the entrees. Will be back soon!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
